Yarn: I’ve already posted about how I think Cashmere is said (similar to Precioussss, a la Lord of the Rings), and today’s yarn is said the same way. Wollmeise is a yarn that for a long time I only heard about. I never caught an update, and it was always spoken of with such reverence and awe that it might have well been made out of fairy floss. I can say, it does exist and it is lovely. These are two of my three precious Wollmeise skeins – I was lucky in a few Ravelry swaps (and then an agreement with another knitter to do some blocking for her) and brought these home to my stash.

Pattern: I have more W patterns in my queue than I anticipated, making this choice harder than I thought! There are adorable amigurumis, a blanket, a few sweaters, hats and fingerless mitts. The one I think I want to make the most and has the best chance of making it to the hook is the Warm Hug Shrug. I don’t know that I would style it like this, but I think it has potential to be worn while I’m working the day job, which is online social media marketing. This winter I would wear a shawl on my shoulders and a blanket on my lap and I think this design would stay in place a bit better.

  1. Visiting you during the final days of the #Challenge. Hope it has been as much fun for you as it has been for me. Love finding new blogs like yours. Great job. If you have any energy left, come and see me. Especially if you enjoy having a new writing friend.

  2. That yarn looks yummy…and the color, absolutely stunning. I like your idea about the shawl staying in place etc. I’m always fidgeting with mine and can’t figure out how others seem not to move, or fall off.
