Orange You Glad It is Friday?

It feels like forever since I have had a Finished Object to share! And today I have not one, but two! First up, my Camp Loopy Project #1: Socks, inspired by the Wrinkle in Time series, in String Theory Colorworks Little Ghost Nebula Colorway. Mostly plain vanilla toe-up, fish lips kiss heel, with the addition of a cable cross at each color change to add a very subtle wrinkle to the fabric. I love how these fit and I love how they feel. The pull to cast on a new pair of socks is strong, but as I have other commissioned knitting to work on, I’m waiting on that. I am now ready for Halloween 2014 as well!

I also finished this Dino mascot as part of EatSleepKnit’s Yarnathon Q2 Mascot Challenge. I played a bit of yarn chicken and lost. One skein of BSA Worsted Cotton was just not enough. Lucky for me, I had some of the orange in my stash and was able to eek out a few spikes and stripes to finish the job. I absolutely adore this little guy and would make him again. The Worsted Cotton was also really nice to use in a crochet project. Previously, I had only knit with it (Lorelai’s Blanket (omg, she was so wee!) and a baby bucket hat)

Here’s to a nice weekend with lots of knitting or crochet – I know I have a lot I am trying to accomplish.
