Project progress

Hello July! It’s a new month and I have a new project! Two actually, but I can’t show you the sample project. Instead I can show you my new Camp Loopy project – a Spring Garden Tee for me. I’m using Cascade Pima Cotton in the most awesome shade of Teal that has ever existed (that would be colorway 3774). It’s tricky to photograph. Anyway, I was a good knitter and began by swatching: on US6s, on US5s and on US2 (gulp!). US2s are for socks and shawls and the occasional baby thing, but a sweater on US2s, I may have had to switch projects. Luckily I figured out that US4s would do the job, so I have cast on and I’m really looking forward this being a successful project. I’ve worked a bit more on a Rose City Roller sock, a few more gusset decreases to go.

I finished the Luckiest Girl Alive. I’m left with a feeling of meh. I would say it was good for a summer read, I finished it, which is more than I have done with most books lately. My new book is Tana French’s The Secret Place. I didn’t realize this is the 5th book of the Dublin Murder Squad series. It’s interesting and I do hope I’m able to get through it this weekend… the type in it is smaller though so I’m not really able to knit while reading this one. Sometimes you gotta choose between reading and knitting!
